Episode 256 - The Apocalyptic Battle, chapter 15

Episode 256: The Apocalyptic Battle, chapter 15

It's a sort of of inverse Turing test for the not terribly bright..

Well, it’s been a long and crazy journey to get here. Lots of violent over-reactions, lots of shallow characters defined mostly by their hair, lots of swords, lots of space lighting, lots of Steve being an arse and lots of mountains exploding. But now, here we are at the end of The Apocalyptic Battle, and it’s time for a satisfactory and rewarding conclusion to this epic that will have made it all worth it. Oh, who am I kidding? If you've got this far, you know it’s going to be bad. And so, much like its predecessor, the fic ends with a sudden derailment off into the wilderness with a conclusion that has nothing to do with anything and makes you feel just that extra bit dumber for thinking otherwise. So sit back, grab a watery Tomweiser, kill a Matt and enjoy the Toad Elevating Moment.

  1. Huh... Well... Whatever I was expecting that wasn't it. Though I was apparently spot on the money on Tom's legal immunity coming from the certain knowledge that he was the divine sovereign lord of all mankind. Way to take a shot in the dark me!

For the fic itself?... Why? I'd take Delta's final big steaming pile of WAFF over this in a heartbeat.

  2. So in this case, the law enforcement vacuum has increased to the point its mass falls in on itself and becomes a black hole from which no one can escape Tom's vision of Justice!

'Course they probably should have stopped when the plot got sucked in and lost forever though.

And for those wondering, Matt would have come for his pen-ultimate questionnaire and conclusion. But was stuck in a line trying to cross into Arstortska without a passport and never seen again.

  3. Well, that was an enjoyable ride. And by "enjoyable", I mean "head-slappingly silly". By the way, I'm curious. The huge leaps of continuity between Delta and this fic suggest that there are other fics in Dyron's saga, such as when he first encountered Steven and Azeroth (but call him Ken) in the past. Are you going to find and MST those as well?
